Windows XP Display Problem

The game starts up fine until i get to the main game screen(start car button). I can only see things below the car start button, everthing above is distorted and impossible to read. i could e-mail somone a screen shot if they think they might be able to help but need more detail

Thanks

Try reinstalling the game and then getting the patches, If the autoupdater dosnt work go to gearhead heaven and download the standalone updater2 and install them that should cure it. Or download the latest drivers for your video card and make sure they are digitally signed by microsoft.

Anymore Q's just ask

Remember, when you download new video card drivers, download the latest chipset drivers from your motherboards manufacturer, it just helps to avoid complications and conflicts all around.

I have the same problem. I've downloaded all the patches and updates, installed the latest video drivers, and got the drivers for my moniter, too. It still does it, though. Too bad cuz this game is awesome. Crying or Very sad

Try adjusting the settings on your video card (go to display properties, then the last tab, then advanced, there should be a tab for your video card) sometimes turning on or off features you can get it to work right. Wish i knew which ones to set where, but messs around turning one off at a time or one on at a time and see what works.

Try changing the compatibility to Windows 95 or Windows 98/ME and running the game in 256 colors.
