First Car ( Updated Aug 11 )

Well that is right .... i bought my first car on Saturday from a friend for $2000. Its a Jeep CJ-5 with a 304 V8 running to a 3SP Standard. It is very clean with good tires and lots of extras. It also has brand new seats, Cooler rack and tow bar. I have also touched up the paint, added a new air filter, new headlights and undercoated the bumpers, running boards, towbar and cooler rack. Here is a pic. COPY AND PASTE IN URL BOX !!!

I plan to add alot of stuff like lift kit, springs, shocks, stereo, hard top, and a winch. And small and cheap stuff like new Steering wheel, Shifter nob, new center console etc. And i plan to do a red neck paint job with metallic blue spray paint Smile

Looks good, but the engine definitally need to be cleaned.

Also fromt he pic It would probably be a good idea to find some spark plug wire holders to route them nicer, so they look better, and to be sure the spark's don't mess with each other.

Have fun with the Jeep, just don't let it take too much money out of you lol

If you want a better manuel transmission behind there, I think the Ax15 from the later model YJ's will bolt right up to the motor (not sure about driveshaft length), but that may be a nice way to have a 5 speed

Nice Jeep. I've always loved those wheels, we use to have a set of those on our 66 Chevelle, I wanna find a set for my S-10. There's alot of room in the engine compartment too, wouldn't be to hard to take it out and mabe hit it with some new paint.

yeah we have already decided to get a new paint job. We have a guy that we know is going to sandblast it. all we need is a 12 pack of beer and some sugar sand and he will sand it good. Then after that were going to put primer there. We might let it run a day or so with just primer then my dad has another friend that has some Bright Red with Metallic flakes for free and we're going to apply that to just about the whole thing. Im cleaning the motor with Carb and Choke Cleaner and an S.O.S pad and i got 1 vavlue cover done and the air filter cover done. And just those too make it look alot better
